NONDESTRUCTIVE EVALUATION SYSTEM RELIABILITY ASSESSMENT

Abstract: This handbook applies to all agencies within the DoD and industry involving methods for testing and evaluation procedures for assessing Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) system capability. This handbook is for guidance only. This handbook cannot be cited as a requirement. If it is, the contractor does not have to comply.Intended Use: This handbook is intended to provide procedures for quantitatively determining NDE system capability that will permit quantitative comparison of one system with another with respect to known specimen standards. It will also permit comparison of the results of a well-controlled NDE system to a specified performance objective, or compare two or more NDE systems. The handbook is a guide, not a mandate.
