Abstract: This standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements (JPRs) for land-based fire fighters responsible for fire-fighting operations aboard commercial/military vessels over 50 ft involved in fire that call at North American ports or that are signatory to the International Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Agreement.
Purpose. The purpose of this standard shall be to ensure that land-based fire fighters meeting the requirements of this standard who are responsible for fire-fighting operations aboard commercial/military vessels over 50 ft involved in fire that call at North American ports or that are signatory to the SOLAS agreement are qualified.
