Abstract: The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to Military Specification MIL-C-42061.
This commercial item description covers one type of threaded closure cap for use with aircraft lubricants and hydraulic fluids. Intended Use: Shall be suitable for use as a closure cap on a bottle used for transporting samples, and then as a specimen cup for evaluating a sample in an atomic emission spectrophotometer. As a specimen cup for use with an atomic emission spectrophotometer, shall be capable of withstanding heating of oil without evidence of melting or other types of deterioration (see Notes).
