Abstract: This specification contains requirements and provides quality assurance provisions for the fabrication of parts and the manufacture, assembly, and packing of the Ram Air Decelerator (RAD) for the M230 and M231 Grenade Fuzes. Intended Use: The Ram Air Decelerator (RAD) provides deceleration and stabilization for the grenades used in the 2.75 Inch Rocket Multi-Purpose Submunition (MPSM).
