Lessons Learned - Hot Work Permits
Year: 2005
Abstract: Abstract:
A hot work permit had been issued by a contractor for welding & cutting. The permit was not specific about the location of the Hot Work operations. Even though, no welding had been planned at the wall when the permit was issued, the permit was general enough to allow them to proceed without obtaining a new Hot Work Permit and without conducting an assessment of the work.
