| description abstract | This specification covers electric air heaters that provide for heating air supplied from Gas-Particulate Filter Units (GPFUs) to military personnel who wear Nuclear-Biological-Chemical (NBC) protective masks during cold weather operations. Intended Use: The air heater covered by this specification is a component of the NBC GPFU systems utilized in various military vehicles, and is used to warm respiratory air supplied to individual protective masks and headpieces. Air from inside the vehicle is blown into a precleaner which contains a particulate filter and two gas filters before entering the heater. | |
