Methods of evaluation of the battery life of a battery-powered watch

Abstract: This Standard specifies the methods for determining the battery life of watches employing primary batteries as the power supply and specifies the marking to be used to inform the users.
This Standard is intended to server as a guideline for correct indication of life of batery of watches by the manufacturer or the distributor.
It is not applicable to watches that are:
a) for specific uses such as timers and stopwatches;
b) built in other products.
NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 12819: 2009 Methods of evaluation of the battery life of a batterypowered watch (MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEe Guide 21-1.
