Abstract: This specification provides criteria for evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) manuals for acceptance. It also provides requirements for preparing supplemental data to COTS manuals. In this specification, the term "manual" means the same as COTS or COTS manual.Intended Use: This specification serves as a tool to evaluate COTS Manuals for acceptability. It provides evaluation criteria and worksheets to use in the evaluation process. It also provides a selection sheet for use in selecting supplemental data.
