Non-petroleum base motor vehicle brake fluids

Abstract: This Standard specifies non-petroleum base brake fluids (hereafter referred to as brake fluids) used for motor vehicles. NOTE: The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows. ISO 3871: 2000 Road vehicles-Labelling of containers for petroleumbased or non-petroleum-based brake fiuid ISO 4925 : 2005 Road vehicles-Specification of non-petroleum-base brake fiuids for hydraulic systems (overall evaluation: MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEe Guide 21-1.
