Nothing in this standard shall supersede any of the regulations of governmental or other regulatory authority.
The provisions of this standard shall reflect situations and state-of-the-art techniques at the time the standard was issued.
Purpose.
The provisions of this standard shall be considered necessary to provide a reasonable level of protection from loss of life and property from fire and explosion in marine terminals, piers, and wharves.
