Abstract: This specification covers roll-bonded, dual hardness, steel armor plate for lightweight armor applications (see 6.1). Intended Use: The roll-bonded steel armor covered by this specification is intended for use in aircraft and lightweight vehicular applications where maximum resistance to armor piercing types of ammunition and multiple hit capability are required. It is normally furnished in thicknesses of 0.187 inch to 0.700 inch.
