FUZES, GENERAL PURPOSE GRENADE: M230 AND M231 (PRACTICE)

Abstract: This specification covers the requirements, examinations, and tests for the M230 and M231 Fuzes with detonator, used with the M73 GP Grenade and M75 GP Grenade, respectively. It covers quality assurance provisions and special test requirements not covered by the drawings for parts, assembly and packaging of the fuzes. (see 6.1). Intended Use: The M230 and M231 Fuze provide safe arming and fuzing for the grenades used in the 2.75 Inch Rocket Multi-Purpose Submunition (MPSM).
