INSERT, SCREW THREAD-LOCKED IN AND RING LOCKED, SERRATED, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR

Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for locked-in inserts. The method of locking in the insert is by means of a serrated collar and an accessory lockring with matching serrations installed within the parent material to prevent rotation. Intended Use: Inserts and lockrings covered by this specification are intended as a general purpose fastener with a mechanical lock feature to resist rotation. See MS51998 for design and usage limitations.
