Abstract: This specification covers alloy steel forgings that are produced by a hot plastic deformation process such as hammering, pressing, upsetting, extruding or any combination of these processes. This specification includes the minimum essential Engineering and Packaging Requirements and the necessary Quality Assurance Provisions to determine that these requirements have been met. Intended Use: The steel forgings specified herein are intended to be used as tubular parts of military cannon such as tubes, jackets, and liners.
