Abstract: This standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements (JPRs) for fire inspectors and plan examiners.
Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to specify the minimum job performance requirements for serving as a fire inspector and plan examiner.
This standard shall define three levels of progression for fire inspectors and two levels of progression for plan examiners.
This standard shall not address management responsibility.
It is not the intent of this standard to restrict any jurisdiction from exceeding or combining these minimum requirements.
