WAX, HYDROCARBON (FOR ORDNANCE USE)

Abstract: This specification covers five types of hydrocarbon waxes which are either of a natural mineral origin or derived from petroleum (see 6.1). Intended Use: The hydrocarbon waxes covered under this specification are intended for use as follows:
Type I - for use with polychloronaphthalene as an inert filler. Type II - for use as a protective lubricant for 20-mm ammunition. Type III - for use as a component material of inert sealing compound. Type IV - for use as a component material of inert sealing compound. Type V - for use as a component material in a liner.
