Abstract: In no event shall AWWA’s liability exceed the amount paid for the purchase of this book. Summary: “This manual provides the user with both general and technical information to aid in design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of PVC pipe and fittings. This manual was developed by the AWWA Standards Committee on PVC Pressure Pipe and Fittings. A check of the chemical resistance of the gasket should be completed independently of that for the pipe. In extremely abrasive exposures, wear must be anticipated; however, in many conditions PVC pipe can significantly reduce maintenance costs incurred because of extreme abrasion.
