This request for interpretation refers to the requirements presented in ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 188-2018, Section A2.1, relating to Designated Team.
ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 188-2018 Section A2.1 states or would imply that a member of the designated team member within the United States should include someone who is an infection preventionist certified in infection prevention and control (CIC certification) by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) or who is an epidemiologist with a minimum of a master’s degree.
