Abstract: This specification establishes the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of a protective assembly (PASS) to provide head, eye and respiratory protection for helicopter aircrewmen in a chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) environment. Intended Use: The PASS covered by this specification is intended for use by aircrewmen to provide filtered breathing air and continuous protection, on the ground and in flight, to the eyes, skin of the head and neck and respiratory system against CBR agents in particulate, liquid, vapor and aerosol forms. The PASS is intended for use in all USN/USMC helicopters, specifically the H-1, H-2, H-3, H-46, H-53 and H-60 series.
