MIL-T-5420B
TUBES, PITOT STATIC, ELECTRICALLY HEATED, AIRCRAFT
Year: 1970
Abstract: This specification covers two types of two-wire electrically heated pitot static tubes identified as follows:
Intended Use: Pitot static tubes covered by this specification are intended for use in aircraft in conjunction with airspeed indicators for temperatures as low as −65°C (−85°F). The tubes are also used as a source of static pressure for altimeters and climb indicators.
Type I Rated Voltage - 24 volt, direct current (DC) AN5814-2 "L" shaped AN5816-2 Straight Type II Rated Voltage - 115 volt, 400 Hz, single-phase alternating current (AC) AN5814-3 "L" shaped AN5816-3 Straight
Intended Use: Pitot static tubes covered by this specification are intended for use in aircraft in conjunction with airspeed indicators for temperatures as low as −65°C (−85°F). The tubes are also used as a source of static pressure for altimeters and climb indicators.
