Abstract: This Specification covers the comparator standard to be used with the Free Water Detector conforming to MIL-D-81227. Intended Use: The standard covered by this specification is intended for use with Free Water Detector conforming to MIL-D-81227. The standard shall be used as a comparator to determine the degree of water contaminant in aircraft fuel when the Detector Pad (MIL-D-81248) is compared with the standard under ultraviolet light.
