Abstract: This standard contains requirements for the friction torque testing of instrument type, annular ball bearings. Guidelines for running and starting torque tests and testers are established. Intended Use: This standard provides procedures for testing ball bearings in order to determine their torque values. The intent of this document is to provide a standard whereby uniformity of torque measurement can be obtained for precision instrument bearings.
