Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for multi-turn non-contact type altitude reporting encoders.
The encoder shall be one of the following types:

Intended Use: The encoders covered by this specification are for use in altitude reporting systems where it is necessary to convert analog shaft position in air mass instruments to digital form for display, computation or transmittal to air traffic control centers.
