Abstract: This specification covers manual pressure-generating brake control units as defined by Specification MIL-H-5440. Intended Use: The control units covered by this specification are intended for use in aircraft hydraulic brake systems as covered by Specification MIL-B-8584 and are the mechanisms used to transform the force applied by the aircraft personnel into hydraulic force. The control units should not be used with any hydraulic fluid other than that conforming to Specification MIL-H-5606 unless otherwise specified by the Government.
