EIA RS-186-8E
STANDARD TEST METHODS FOR PASSIVE ELECTRONIC COMPONENT PARTS METHOD 8: VIBRATION, HIGH FREQUENCY
Organization:
EIA - Electronic Industries Alliance
Year: 1978
Abstract: PURPOSE
This sinusoidal high frequency vibration test is performed for the purpose of determining the effect on component parts of vibration in the frequency range of 10 to 500 Hz or 10 to 2000 Hz as may be encountered in aircraft, missiles, space or automotive vehicles.
It must be emphasized that the tests outlined in this document are primarily resonance and/or endurance tests and do not duplicate application conditions where the vibration encountered may be of a complex sine-random wave form. Sine wave tests do not correlate with random or combined sine-random tests.
