Standard Practice for Quality, Manufacture, and Construction of Amusement Rides and Devices

Abstract

3.1 The purpose of this practice is to provide the minimum manufacturing requirements for amusement rides and devices and to provide the minimum requirements for a written quality assurance program for an amusement ride or device manufacturer, or component supplier. 3.2 This practice is not intended to include manufacture of off-the-shelf parts, components, or assemblies that (a) are standardized items; (b) are commercially available without requiring custom design, engineering, or manufacture; and (c) have to meet published performance specifications, testing data, or specific ratings which have been provided by the original equipment manufacturer. 3.3 This practice applies to sub-contracted manufacturing in the same manner as it applies to OEM manufacturing.
