Abstract: This specification establishes the design, performance, and acceptance requirements for Switching Unit SA-2498/ARC hereinafter referred to as switching unit. Intended Use: The switching unit with its associated control, when operating with two radio sets and two TSEC/KY units is intended to provide an automatic relay station in plain or secure voice, simultaneous plain or secure voice transmission from each radio set, or independent plain or secure voice communication of each radio set.
