Abstract: This standard establishes a test method standard for fuel cells and fuel cell fittings. This standard applies to all fuel cells manufactured in accordance with MIL-T-5578, MIL-T-6396 (except type I), and MIL-DTL-27422. Intended Use: This standard classifies common defects in fuel cells and fuel cell fittings. This standard establishes the requirements for normal finish operations and sets acceptance limits or rework on new cells. These finish operations and acceptance limits are intended for military aircraft fuel tanks that must pass ballistic tests.
