HANDBOOK FOR INTERFACE CONTROL DOCUMENTATION FOR AVIONIC SYSTEMS

Abstract: This document provides guidelines for developing and using standardized ICDs. It informs the users of these documents how to initiate an ICD, of the coordination process, and of the methods implemented to change these contractual instruments. It also provides information to contractors and airframers to allow a thorough understanding of the type of data required for ICDs on new systems. Intended Use: Interface control documents conforming to the requirements of this standard are intended for use in NAVAIR applications. Samples I-IV in appendix B are samples of different types of ICDs and are included only for guidance. Addenda A and B apply only to sample I of appendix B.
