Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for performance, technical design, and quality assurance for a Central Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) (Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System (ATCRBS)) shipboard system. Intended Use: The central IFF system is intended to transmit AIMS IFF interrogations, to receive and process the replies and to distribute the processed information to various operating and display positions without reliance on radar synchronization or require the use of other shipboard equipments.
