Abstract: The equipment covered by this specification shall measure the ground velocity of fixed wing aircraft in flight.
The Navigation Set, Radar shall consist of the following items:
This equipment shall operate with the associated equipment listed in 6.7.
Intended Use: The equipment defined herein is intended to be the ground velocity sensor component of an airborne navigation system in naval aircraft. The equipment defined herein is also intended for use in aircraft systems equipped with Doppler Inertial Navigation Systems such as AN/ASN-31, AN/ASN-36 and AN/ASN-42.
The Navigation Set, Radar shall consist of the following items:
Applicable Items Type Designation Para. Receiver-Transmitter, Radar RT-680B/APN-153(V) 3.5.1 Mount MT-2840/APN-153(V) 3.5.2 Control-Indicator C-4418B/APN-153(V) 3.5.3 Antenna Assembly AS-1349/APN-153(V) 3.5.4 or Antenna Assembly AS-1350/APN-153(V) 3.5.5
