Abstract: This specification establishes the requirements for the manufacture and inspection of a bomb rack adapter. The adapter gives a 355.6 millimeter (14 inch) suspension bomb rack a 762 millimeter (30 inch) suspension capability allowing the bomb rack to carry and release stores weighing from 45 to 1,814 kilograms (100 to 4,000 pounds). The test limits in this specification define minimum acceptable capabilites. Intended Use: The adapters covered by this specification are intended for use in level bombing, dive bombing, and other types of bombing and shall provide for mounting externally as on an airplane wing or fuselage.
